YES develops Hip-Hop Music and Music Video Camp to reach
teens on probation/parole.

Youth Entertainment Studios teamed this summer with the Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia Court Service Units to work with twenty-three court-involved teens in a three-week residential camp experience on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

In addition to learning all about the music industry and gaining hands-on production experience, the young people learned conflict resolution, media literacy, job skills and life skills. The camp was co-sponsored by the Grammy Foundation and radio station 103 Jamz.

Norfolk and Portsmouth Virginia Court Service Units teamed up with YES this summer to help turn around teens who are already in the court system!

The teens presented the music and music videos they produced at a special award celebration that rivaled the Grammy Awards in anticipation and excitement.
